FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We are a one-stop plant clinic offering different solutions – we even provide analysis based on hectare or acre basis! There will definitely be an option that suits you, and your farm can certainly benefit from a custom recommendation.
That’s great to hear! We are happy for you. Do note that this doesn’t mean there is optimal use of resources, however. What if you are missing out on higher yield, better fruit quality, lower cost… we trust you understand.
If you choose us as your partner in enhancing or reforming your farm, you are making a Smart Farmer’s choice. Our one-stop solution allows us to provide affordability as a value to you. We assure you it will more than pay off in the long term: think yield, environmental sustainability, costs – and most importantly, returns.
You will first be requested to fill up a questionnaire for us to gather preliminary information, then it’s on to an on-site inspection and field study on your grounds. We will most likely be carrying out sampling and lab testing for analysis – you may be able to see the use of IoT and sensors at this stage depending on what applies in your situation. The hard work then continues on our end where we examine and assess the data collected, before coming back to you with a report and a tailor-made recommendation best suited to you.
And oh, did we mention we also offer a follow up either through phone call or field visit after you’ve had time to implement the recommended actions?
The length of time will vary depending on your crop production system (production cycle), but one single cycle will be sufficient.
We will identify underlying issues in your fields and provide recommendations based on your needs. Desirable results include an increase in yield, healthier plants, cost optimisation, but the action is ultimately yours. Our commitment is to be here with you, and to boost your journey.
Agro-management practices would be in the forefront. We may provide you with pre-planting suggestions as well, and execution will be up to yourself. But if we’re really talking, it would be a mindset shift to accept results gathered through data and technology – making a switch from manual to automated, hearsay or experience-based to scientifically driven. It’s about updating and upgrading the farming system as a whole by increasing the application of precision technology. In doing so the wider ecosystem, its advances and its balance must be considered, instead of short-term fixes. How far are you willing to go for the future of your farm?
Haha, you got us on that one. They are one and the same.
Precision farming is the use of cutting-edge technology to improve the decision-making process. One of its applications is using technology to check assumptions concerning your resources, e.g. “is my soil really that good?”
Precision agriculture is like going for a medical review when you are feeling unwell, or even when you are well. Instead of simply popping paracetamols, you find out the exact cause and problem point causing you pain. You find out if you have a risk of developing something malignant, or if something harmful has already occurred that you weren’t even aware of. And this empowers you to take action to counter it, or to reinforce that which is beneficial.
Just like the world couldn’t stop the Industrial Revolution 4.0 from happening, precision agriculture is the next-generation agricultural practice through the appreciation of data and scientific evidence. Plants communicate with us, and now we are finally able to translate those signs!
